Terms and Conditions

1. Payment and Booking

1a. Payment Terms: Introductory lessons at Bossi’s Guitar Studio are exclusively for first-time students and are taken individually over two consecutive weeks. Thereafter lessons can be purchased in blocks of 3, 5, or 10 weeks in advance.

1b. Payment must be made by the due date indicated on the invoice to secure lesson slots. Failure to settle outstanding payments before your next scheduled lesson may result in the cancellation of lessons and the loss of your regular lesson time slot.

1c.Payment Method: Bank transfer or other agreed-upon methods.

1d. Invoice Reminder: Invoices will be issued at the end of each payment block. It is the student's or guardian's responsibility to ensure timely payments.

2. Lesson Vouchers

2a. Expiration: Vouchers issued by Bossi’s Guitar Studio, including ‘lesson vouchers,’ ‘referral vouchers,’ and ‘gift vouchers,’ are valid for three years from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise. The expiry date will be displayed on the voucher or provided at the time of purchase. After the expiry date, the voucher will no longer be valid and cannot be redeemed.

2b. Eligibility: Lesson vouchers can only be redeemed by first-time students and are recognised as the student’s introductory lessons at Bossi’s Guitar Studio. Once lessons have commenced, students may not redeem any further vouchers. Vouchers cannot be redeemed by returning or existing students.

2c. Redemption Conditions: Vouchers are redeemable for the specified service only and are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. Vouchers must be presented at the time of redemption.

2d. Lost or Stolen Vouchers: Bossi’s Guitar Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or expired vouchers. A replacement may be issued at the studio’s discretion and may incur a fee.

2e. Exceptions: Certain promotional or discounted vouchers may have different expiry periods, which will be communicated clearly at the time of issuance or purchase. These vouchers must be used within the stated period and are subject to the terms provided.

3. Cancellation Policy

3a. Notice: A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for cancelling a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will not be rescheduled or refunded.

3b. Rescheduling: Lessons can be rescheduled within a 7-day period before the next weekly lesson slot, provided 24 hour’s notice is given. They are subject to availability and must be completed within the specified timeframe; they cannot be carried over to future lesson blocks.

3c. Refunds: Refunds are not available for cancelled lessons; only rescheduling is permitted. Rescheduling is subject to the studio's availability.

4. Attendance

4a. Timeliness: Students are expected to arrive on time for lessons. Late arrivals may result in a shortened lesson time.

4a. Missed Lessons:

4a.1. General Missed Lessons: Missed lessons without notice will not be refunded or rescheduled.

4a.2. School Holiday Absences: Make-up classes for absences due to school holidays will be offered if the studio is notified at least seven days in advance. We recognise that holiday periods are important times for students' development (especially school age and studying) and encourage them to utilise this time to enjoy focusing on their instruments and practice.

4a.3. Make-up classes: Make-up classes must be scheduled within a 7-day period following the missed lesson. If advance notice is not provided, make-up classes may not be available. They are subject to availability and must be completed within the specified timeframe; they cannot be carried over to future lesson blocks.

5. Refunds and Returns Policy

5a. General Policy: Refunds are generally not offered unless required by law. Refunds or exchanges may be offered at the studio's discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as in the event of business or teacher fault.

5b. Australian Consumer Law Compliance: Our services comply with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

5b.1. Major Failures and Studio Responsibility: Students are entitled to a remedy if a major failure occurs, such as lesson not being provided as agreed or significant quality issues that cannot be resolved. In these cases, students may be eligible for a refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value.

5b.1. Minor Issues and Studio Responsibility: For issues that do not constitute a major failure, such as scheduling conflicts or temporary teacher unavailability, we aim to rectify the situation promptly. Minor issues will be addressed through rescheduling or other suitable solutions at the studio’s discretion.

5c. Refunds Not Provided: Except as required by law, refunds are not provided for change of mind, discontinuation of lessons, or other non-business or teacher fault reasons.

6. Student Responsibilities

6a. Preparation: Students are expected to bring necessary materials (instruments, books, etc.) to each lesson.

6b. Practice: Consistent practice is encouraged and expected to ensure progress.

7. Studio Rules

7a. Behaviour: Respectful and appropriate behaviour is expected at all times. Abusive, threatening, or other disruptive behaviour may result in the immediate termination of lessons without a refund.

7b. Equipment Care: Students are responsible for the care of studio equipment and their personal instruments. All intentional breakages or damage to Bossi's Guitar Studio property must be paid for by the student or their guardian.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8a. Confidentiality: Student information will be kept confidential and used solely for administrative and educational purposes.

9. Agreement Acknowledgement

By transferring payment for services, including any weekly lesson fees to Bossi’s Guitar Studio, the student or their guardian confirms their agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. These terms include, but are not limited to, the policies on Payment and Booking, Lesson Vouchers, Cancellation Policy, Attendance, Refunds and Returns Policy, Student Responsibilities, Studio Rules, and Privacy and Data Protection.

By proceeding with payment, the student or their guardian acknowledges the following:

1. They have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of Bossi’s Guitar Studio.

2. They understand that services will be provided with due care and skill, in compliance with Australian Consumer Law.

3. They accept that failure to comply with the policies outlined may result in actions such as cancellation of lessons, forfeiture of payments, or other consequences as detailed in the agreement.

Payments serve as confirmation of acceptance of these terms, and no additional signature is required to validate this agreement.
